The International Security Register (ISR) is a secure database used by police, insurers, and the public to instantly verify and trace marked components and support the recovery of stolen vehicles and other valuable items. Since 1991, the ISR has played a critical role in crime prevention, asset recovery, and successful prosecutions.

Asset marking involves applying a permanent, unique identifier to an item, making it traceable. This acts as a powerful theft deterrent and helps law enforcement recover and return lost or stolen property. Marking also adds credibility to ownership and can support insurance claims.

We work with the automotive industry - OEM, dealerships, vehicle import/export centres, retailers, IT companies, contractors, construction firms, glazing industry, insurers and the police service.

Vehicle windows and/or valuable parts are marked at production plants, import/export centres, or dealerships using a range of methods, including bespoke laser units, stencil & proprietary fluids, electrolysis, and ultra-destruct labels.
Data from marked vehicles is uploaded onto our standalone servers before being transferred into our International Security Register (ISR).

The ISR Stolen & Recovered Vehicle File integrates daily updates from the Law Enforcement Data Service (LEDS), enabling automatic alerts for stolen vehicles and the creation of skeleton records for unmatched entries, with all data retained indefinitely. This powerful system supports police investigations into vehicle cloning and the detection of false plates or stolen parts, such as catalytic converters.
